Question

Having cleared the hurdle of my IT department, and actually being able to download the program, when trying to open it, either from the desktop shortcut, or the Start menu, it immediately brings up a "IQWorks has encountered a problem and needs to close" window, without it actually ever having opened. Not sure what i can have done wrong, any solution? Its the 0.3 Release. It also told me that i'd need to do something in Excel about an AddIn? but not which one. I added them all and tried again but to no avail.

Environment

IQWorks version: unspecified
Server OS: Windows XP
.NET Framework: unspecified
Categories: Installation

I had the same problem. I tried several things in order to solve the problem and one seemed to work. The most likely of these solutions was the re-installation of 3.0 .NET Framework.

Anyone got any further ideas? I had the same problem as Nicola and following installation of the service pack 2 for.NET framework managed to get it running OK on one PC (Windows 2000), but cannot on another (XP). I have tried installing 3.0 .NET Framework on the PC running XP.

Sorry about the delay to respond to this. The Excel Add in message is normal. The problem with installing IQWorks on certain systems has now been identified, and fixed in the upcoming 0.4 version. Hopefully this will be available from this website very soon.
